Essential Duties

  • Data entry in QuickBooks Desktop (vendor purchase orders, item receipts, bills, etc.).
  • Post daily sales receipts.
  • Enter banking and credit card transactions.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly transaction reconciliations.
  • Assist with weekly/bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • View, match, and verify source documentation to sales and inventory data.
  • Maintain organized filing system (physical and electronic) according to proper record retention policies.
  • Maintain inventory logs and reconcile daily.
  • Constantly seek ways to work smarter through process improvement, automation, software implementation, and other efficiency objectives.
  • Assist with the operations of the company when needed.
  • Assist with production of monthly financial statements and tie out.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Education

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in an accounting role.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field. A comparable combination of course work, certification, and work experience may be acceptable in lieu of accounting degree.
  • CPA or working towards CPA a plus is desirable.
  • Process a "growth mindset" and desire to constantly improve through daily habits and iteration.
  • Ability to be very detail oriented and maintain high information accuracy rate.
  • Ability to be flexible and pivot in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred (focus on inventory management).
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for greater understanding by non-finance folks.
  • Intermediate to advance computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, Monday, and Quickbooks.
  • High competency (intermediate advanced) skills in Excel (BI and programming experience a plus).
  • Possess a love of standard operating procedures and a well thought out process.
  • Be intellectually curious and initiate new ideas and processes to help improve department/company operations.
  • Previous experience working in a remote environment is highly desired.
